Description

This class is part of CCAC'S FAIR SHARE PRICING program. Learn more in the green box.

 

Children will discover how creativity can transform an everyday object into a cuddly new friend! This workshop will teach the foundations of sewing by constructing a pair of socks into a classic sock monkey. It is a great activity for beginner students who are eager to learn how to sew. We will be using children friendly materials such as plastic needles and embroidery floss.

About the Instructor

Lia Cavalaris

Lia Cavalaris is an artist and educator located in Cincinnati, OH who has a deep passion for facilitating creativity any opportunity she gets. Though she specializes in printmaking, painting, and animation, she is excited by the opportunity to explore all means of creativity. She has taught various age groups from young children to adults with the Baker-Hunt Art and Cultural Center, Cincinnati Arts Association, Clifton Cultural Arts Center, Wave Pool Gallery, and Cincy Arte.
