Explore a new aspect of Fiber Art each month of 2024. In July, we're making Junk or Art Journals.
With journal-making, anything goes, and there are never any mistakes! The process insists that you look at everything beyond what this IS, and instead ask, "How can I use it? What CAN it be?" The weird becomes wonderful. The ordinary becomes meaningful.
Included with the class is an individual packet of vintage, specialty and unique paper and ephemera, as well as access to the teacher's extensive personal stash of materials. By the end of the month, you will have at least one complete journal and a wealth of knowledge to make more!
Adults (16+)
Jenny Caffery
Jenny has been creating things for as long as she can remember. During the pandemic, Jenny began watching YouTube videos and stumbled across mixed media journaling, and eventually “junk” journaling, and was hooked. She loved the freedom of imperfection and that each page was interactive and an expression of creativity. Jenny is a big believer in adventures and giving yourself things to look forward to. When she’s not crafting, Jenny sells her journals and collage cards at markets or spends time with her husband, 4 kids and 3 dogs.
Participants must currently be 16 years to 111 years old.
Registration starts on 04/19/2024 and ends on 07/01/2024.
At Clifton Cultural Arts Center, we believe that everyone has the right to access the arts and to express themselves.
With Fair Share Pricing, we are simplifying the scholarship process by eliminating the need for an application. If you are unable to pay the full tuition amount, you may simply choose one of the provided scholarship levels instead. You can find guidance on which scholarship level we suggest HERE, but the decision is up to you. We will never ask for additional verification or paperwork.
If you are able to cover the tuition cost for a student in need, we encourage you to select the Supporter Level or to make a donation upon checkout to ensure we always have funding for the Fair Share Pricing program.
Support for the Fair Shair Pricing program comes from the Gerald H. Fitzgerald Scholarship Fund and contributors like you.
Please contact Clifton Cultural Arts Center if you have any questions.
